Former Pioneer Resident of Marinette Passes Away In Tacoma.
Joseph Duxbury received a telegram this morning from Mrs Harry Prescott of Tacoma, Washington, conveying the sad news of the death of her mother, Mrs Amos Holgate, at the home of Mrs Prescott, Sunday. She had been ill for sometime, general decline being the cause of her demise.
Mrs Holgate was one of the pioneer residents of Marinette. Some years ago she went west and has resided there since. She was the widow of the late Judge Amos Holgate, for many years county judge of Marinette county. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs Prescott and son Clinton Holgate of Portland.
