Malvina Amanda Kimball was born 14 December 1832 in Bucyrus Crawford County Ohio. She Died 6 December 1889 in Polk County, Nebraska and is buried in Bellwood Cemetary in Butler County Nebraska. Her parents were Levi Kimball born 1812 died 1899 and Hettie Esther Chatfield born 1811 and died 1894. They are buried in Cascade Idaho. I visited the gravesite in May of this year. I have photos if you are interested. Malvina married Carlos Olcott Born 1831 in Erie County New York and he died 1913 in Polk County Nebraska. The marriage date was January 1, 1856. Their children were Florence H. Olcott born February 11, 1857 and died December 25, 1916. She was my gr grandmother on my mothers side. Other children were Rosewell Byron Olcott born 1858, Lydia Lyone Olcott born 1861, Emerson Olcott born 1863, Emerson Leibus Olcott born 1865, Laura (lana) Marion Olcott born 1867m Charles Levi Olcott born 1873 and Frank Sidelbert Olcott born 1876. Mrs. Minnie Kimball Crampton died at her home on the corner of High and South Main streets on the anniversary of her birth, Sunday, afternoon, November 19, 1907, after a long illness. She was the youngest of three daughters born to the late Leonard and Minerva (Chatfield) Kimball, both of whom came to Naperville from New York among the pioneers of the early thirties.
Although born at Mineral Point, Wis., nearly all of Mrs. Crampton's life was spent in or near Naperville. First, as a school girl and teacher at the Academy, as the Naperville school was then called, and then as the wife of W. M. Crampton, to whom she was united in marriage January 21st, 1869. Although for many years an invalid her faith in God's goodness never wavered and her greatest pleasure was to help and comfort those in trouble and sorrow.
Wishing her friends to remember her as she was when strong enough to see them, it was her request that only the ____ members of her family should accompany her to her last resting place. The Rev. Mr. Peebles conducted the short service at the home and grave, November 13, 1907.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two daughters, Miss Genevieve Crampton and Mrs. Mervin W. Strong, of Aurora, and one little grand-daughter, besides a host of friends.
