Find A Grave Memorial# 11515024 ----- DEATH COMES TO ESTEEMED MOTHER Illness and suffereing extended over a period of many months terminated for Mr. Laura Marsden Benson, esteemed lady of this community, whien death brought relief to her on Friday morning of last week at the family residence. Serious complications which included kidney trouble were the causes of death which, though not unexpected, came as a severe shock to her family and friends. Her daughters Nellie, Sarah and Jennie and her son Clarence were at her side when the end came, the other boys being at the sawmill in the mountains. Mrs. Benson was born in Provo on April 3rd, 1857, the daughter of William and Sarah Marsden. She became the wife of Thomas Benson on February 17, 1876, and was the mother of fourteen children, six of whom, together with her husband, predeeded her to the other side. She is survived by three daughters: Mrs H.D. Matheson, Mrs. Clarence Pendleton and Miss Jennie Benson, five sons: John, Joseph, Clarence, Lucius, and Richard all of whom reside here, together with a brother Mr. L.N.
