Humphrey, NY--Charlotte V. Tyler of Humphrey died Saturday (July 19, 2003) in the Olean General Hospital after a long illness.
Born June 30, 1921 in Humphrey, NY she was the daughter of Nathan S. Williams and Blanch M. Stone Williams Dunham. She was married to Charles V. Tyler on November 24, 1938. They have been married for 64 years.
Mrs. Tyler has resided in Southern California, Allegany and Humphrey during her lifetime. She was a retired employee of Acme Electric of Allegany, NY and she was a founding member of the Allegany Baptist Church.
Surviving besides her husband are her children, Nancy (Francis) Peterson of Steamburg, Charles R. (Mary) Tyler of Humphrey, Larry (Rita) Tyler of Santa Clarita, CA and Garry (Pam) Tyler of San Paulo, Brazil, SA; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 sisters Beulah B. Baldwin, Blanche M. Dutton, Gertrude C. Keim, all of Allegany and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, 1 sister Eva Wilber and 4 brothers Ivory Williams, Clifford Williams, Lawrence Williams and Nathan Williams.
Visitation will continue at the Allegany Baptist Church on Wednesday (July 23, 2003) from noon until 1pm at which time funeral services will be held. Rev. Frank Hayman, pastor, and Pastor Garry Tyler will officiate.

The funeral service for Dorothy A. Getsman, 96, of Aberdeen, will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Tom Haggar officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Aberdeen. Dorothy died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Ipswich, SD.
Dorothy A. Williams was born on May 3, 1917 at Faulkton, SD to David and Mary (Stevenson) Williams. On July 10, 1935 she married Frank Getsman at Aberdeen, SD. They farmed near Loyalton, SD until WWII when they moved to Chicago, IL. She worked for Douglas Aircraft. Later they moved to Aberdeen, SD where she owned and operated Aberdeen Newcomers. Her Newcomers group volunteered for the Salvation Army for years. She also sold Shaklee.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Aberdeen. She loved gardening and playing Bridge.
Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Richard Getsman; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Getsman.
Preceding Dorothy in death are her husband, Frank Getsman, her parents; David and Mary Williams, sons; Robert Getsman, and Ronald Getsman, sisters; Regina Heavrin, Blanche Neilan, Mildred Ostrander, brothers; Maynard Williams and Glenn Williams.
