RAYMOND WILLIAM BURTON
Raymond William Burton, 81, formerly of Tipton Lane, Waverly, Ohio died 9:20 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Four Winds Community, Jackson, Ohio.

He was born March 14, 1933 in Lucasville, Ohio the son of the late Charles Burton and Eliza Jane (Neely) Burton. On July 10, 1954 Raymond was united in marriage to Mary Christine (Chatfield) Burton who preceded him in death December 19, 2009.

Surviving are three sons, Jefferson William Burton and wife Barbara, Thomas Eugene Burton and wife Deborah, Joseph Allen Burton and wife Kathy, daughter, Susan Kay Martin and husband Claude, eight grandchildren, Josh, Molly Megan, Terry, Brooke, Bobby Jo, Donnie, Amanda, seven great grandchildren, four brothers, James Burton and wife Thelma, Richard Burton, Lawrence Burton, John Burton, two sisters, Dorothy Baer and Helen Whitt and husband Glen.

His parents, wife, son, Robert Michael Burton, two brothers, Fred and Floyd Burton preceded him in death.

Raymond was a retired Teacher with the Waverly City Schools and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Air Force.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the HOWE WHEELER BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Piketon, Ohio with Rev. Todd Wallace, officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio.
