Obituary
Mary C. Blocklinger, age 78, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away at 6:50 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque of natural causes. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St. with Pastor Greg Bjornstad officiating. To celebrate Mary’s life friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary.
Mary was born on February 6, 1935, in Epworth, Iowa, daughter of Roy and Bertha (Chatfield) Bradfield.
Mary married Maurice L. Blocklinger on November 12, 1955, at St. Raphael’s Cathedral in Dubuque. He preceded her in death. She graduated from the Finley School of Nursing in 1955 and was employed at Xavier Hospital and Stonehill Care Center. Mary enjoyed working on puzzles and reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Schreiber, the nurses and staff at Mercy Medical Center Dubuque and all who have helped care for Mary.
