JOSEPH OWREY DIED TODAY AFTER EXTENDED ILLNESS
Joseph E. Owrey of 1212 South Eighth Street, whose family was numbered among the early residents and builders of Ironton, died at 10 o'clock this morning in his home following an illness of two years duration. He would have been 81 years old on Nov. 24.
Mr. Owrey retired some years ago after business activity of years as a plumber and real estate man. His death will be mourned by many friends.
Surviving him are his widow, Estella, these children: Mrs. Paul Sigler and Cyrus Owrey of California, Mrs. Norma Howard, Ashland, Ky., Mrs. Ernestine Townsend, Columbus, Ernest of the army, Ralph of Akron, Leola at home, one brother, William of Sandusky, and one sister, Mrs. Ira Shafer of Portsmouth and seven grandchildren. He was a member of First Methodist congregation.
Services will probably be conducted on Thursday.
