STELLA OWERY [sic]
Mrs. Stella Owery [sic], 1212 south Eighth street, died suddenly Sunday evening following a heart attack at her home. She was rushed to General hospital in the Frank Feuchter ambulance but was pronounced dead upon arrival there.
Mrs. Owery [sic] was the widow of Joseph Owery, well known citizen of Ironton. She was born May 31, 1874 at Ashland, Ky., daughter of the late John and Louise Bailey. The family moved to Ironton when she was a young girl. Mrs. Owery [sic] was a member of the First Baptist church, Ashland.
Surviving are these children: Ralph and Leolia, at home; Mrs. Charles Howard, wife of the police chief of Ashland, Ky.; Ernest Owery, of Ashland, Mrs. Ernestine Townsend of Cleveland, and Cyrus Owery and Mrs. Paul Sigler, of Los Angeles, Calif. One nephew, Milton McCarthy of Columbus, also survives.
Friends may call at the Feuchter funeral home after 11 o'clock Tuesday morning. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Marvin Matthews officiating.
Note: Mrs. Paul (Jean) Sigler and Cyrus Owrey were children of Joseph's first marriage to Ida Bartley and were Stella's step-children.
