Edward L. Henneman was born August 2, 1932 and went to live with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was born to Carl Herbert and Hazel (Wesen) Henneman in Valentine, Montana. He married his wife Karen on August 26, 1960. They spent 51 years together. He is survived by his wife, sons Henry (Judy) of Bremerton, WA and Bret (Cecilia) of Flagstaff, AZ, sister Irene Hambrick and bother Ralph (Mary) of Bremerton, stepbrothers Dale and Larry Grass of Rapid City, SD and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald and Robert and sister Evelyn. He moved to Bremerton at a young age and lived most of his life in the Central Kitsap area. He graduated from Central Kitsap High School, served in the US Marine Corps, worked at Boeing, and retired from PSNS after 26 years of service as a Naval Architectural Technician. Ed was a volunteer with Kitsap County Fire District 15 and Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue for 32 years retiring in 2001 as a Battalion Chief. He was active with the Boy Scouts as Scout Master while both his sons became Eagle Scouts. Ed enjoyed woodworking, growing dahlias and traveling with the Elks Travel & Fun Club in his Motorhome. Gerry Allen Henneman, 79, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Geraldine (Ippolito) Henneman. Gerry and Geraldine celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on April 24, 2009. Born May 31, 1930, in Los Angeles, Calif., Gerry was the son of the late Ralph Blantan and Virginia I. Henneman. Gerry was a retired Lieut. of the USA Coast Guard and had 24 years of service. He served from 1947 to 1972. Following his service in the Coast Guard, he was employed by Dentsply and the York Hospital. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, York. In addition to his wife, Geraldine, he is survived by a son, John A. Henneman of Davie, Fla.; daughter, Lynne D. and her husband, Richie Nayman of Peekskill, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2010, at the Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, with the Rev Father John A. Szada, of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Hanover, officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
