I George Sickler of Beekman Town in Dutchess county and State of New York being weak in body, but of sound memory, blessed be God, do this eleventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say, First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Kesiah Sickler all my household goods and furniture of any kind or name whatsoever and one cow. And I further will and order that all the remainder of my estate shall be sold within, or at the end of one year next after my decease, at the direction of my executors herein after named, and I further will and order that all my just debts shall be paid, and that my widow shall have the sum of fifty pounds in lieu of right of dower and power of thirds. His wife was Augusta (Cooper) Sickler (1838-1917) - a descendant of George Cooper (1751-1824) who served at Wyoming during the Massacre as one of the surviving heroes of that massacre - together Harvey and Augusta Cooper Sickler were the parents of two children: Samuel Brenton Sickler born 29 Jul 1859 - died 05 Dec 1884, and Stella Sickler Jorden born 13 Apr 1863 in Tunkhannock died 14 May 1932 also in Tunkhannock, PA.
