Edward Mersh was baptised on 15 May 1836 in Pulborough. The baptism register noted that his father was a labourer from Hardham.
Eliza Mersh was baptised on 17 December 1837 in Pulborough. The baptism register noted that her father was a labourer. She was 15 years old in 1851.
Mary Marsh was baptised on 15 March 1840 in Pulborough. The baptism register noted that her father was a farmer. She was 11 years old in 1851.
As Mary Marsh she married Jesse Mann Stone by banns on 4 October 1864 in Pulborough. He was a bachelor and barge builder and she was a spinster. Their fathers were named as John Stone a barge builder and Edward Marsh a labourer. The witnesses to their marriage were Peter Wadey and Elizabeth Wadey.
Jesse Mersh was baptised on 24 July 1842 in Pulborough. The baptism register noted that his father was a labourer. He was 7 years old in 1851.
Elizabeth Mersh was baptised on 8 December 1844 in Pulborough. The baptism register noted her father was a labourer. The 1851 census recorded that Betsy Mearsh was 6 years old. Elizabeth Marsh died aged 15 years and was buried on 6 June 1860 in Pulborough. The burial register noted that she was from Pickhurst.
Jane Mersh was baptised on 10 October 1847 in Pulborough. The baptism register noted that her father was a labourer. She was 3 years old in 1851.
Sarah Mersh was baptised on 24 March 1850 in Pulborough. The baptism register noted that her father was a labourer. In the 1851 census it would seem she was 1 year old Jenny Mearsh. When the 1861 census was recorded she was an 11 year old scholar and the eldest of her siblings living at home.
As Sarah Marsh she married Frederick Chatfield by banns on 13 June 1868 in Pulborough. He was a 24 year old bachelor and labourer and she was a 19 year old spinster. Sarah's father was named as Edward Marsh a labourer. Frederick's father was not named. The witnesses to their marriage were Witfould Luxford and Ellen Chatfield.
Ellen Mersh was baptised on 25 April 1852 in Pulborough. The baptism register noted that her father was a labourer. She was a 9 year old scholar in 1861.
Kate Marsh was baptised on 12 November 1854 in Pulborough. The baptism register noted that her father was a labourer. She was a 6 year old scholar in 1861.
Charlotte Marsh was baptised on 25 January 1857 in Pulborough. The baptism register noted that her father was a labourer. In 1861 she was 4 years old. She was a 14 year old scholar in 1871.
