GREENMOUNT FATALITY Edwin Chatfield (22), single, of West Swan-road, Caversham, was killed almost instantly in a motor cycle smash at Green mount about midnight last night. It was reported that Chatfield was riding down the hill and that he apparently failed to negotiate a bend near the Bullarra-road intersection with Great Eastern-highway with the result that he crashed into a telephone pole. His machine was picked up about three yards beyond the pole and he was lying another six yards farther on. He was dead before a Midland Junction St. John ambulance arrived. Constable J. D. Jones made inquiries.
