OBITUARY
Fred J. Eckley, son of John and Amanda Eckley, was born in Cass county, Indiana June 30, 1882. Departed this life at his late home in Michigan, December 18, 1914; aged 32 years, 5 months and 18 days. He was united in marriage to Hattie B. Pierce February 22, 1905. To this union were born two children, Glenn and Inez. Both children are left to the mother to be a comfort to her in this hour of sadness. Two brothers and three sisters survive him; George of Bunker Hill, Willard, Mrs. H. Bevington, Mrs. Walter House of Galveston and Mrs. Delbert Shope of Anoka, and his aged mother all these with a host of friends are left to mourn his early departure. The remains werebrought back Saturday, and the funeral was held at the Methodist church in Lincoln on Monday forenoon, at 10:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. Amos, assisted by Rev. G.H. Trinkle and Rev. Harley Walker. Burial in Galveston cemetery.
