Maud was the daughter of James A. Chatfield and Sarah Carterine Shockley. She married Charles Everhart and was Librian at the Momence library.
Mrs Maude Chatfield Everhart 73 died Tuesday night at the Betourne nursing home in Kankakee,Il.She will lie in state at the Canady chapel. The funeral service will be Friday afternoon with the Rev. W.O. Klopfenstein officiating and internment will be at the Momence cemetery.
She was born in Momence 6 Dec 1868, the daughter of James and Sarah Shockley CHATFIELD, pioneer residents of this community. On 21 June 1899 in Momence she was united in marriage to Charles Everhart, who preceded her in death in 1915.
Mrs Everhart was a member of the Baptist church, order of the Eastern Star.She possessed a genuine kindiness and cheerful personality and will be greatly missed.She was an excellent librarian. She is survived by two sons Ralph and Oscar, two grandchildren; two brothers, George and Webb Chatfield.
