Find A Grave Memorial# 117862005 ===== My Grandmother told me her fathers name was Tewaunki (William Washington Sands is his English name) and that he was the son or (grandson)of "War Eagle" ( his wife's name was Waumeni) chief of the Wampanoag from what I have been able to work out this would be around 1750. Jodie Booth. Don't believe that Tewaunki was truly a slave, though he may have been an indentured labourer for a year or two before making his escape. The Stag Hound was formally a Tea trader running from Hong Kong to London and New York.
