Carolyn Bristol Beardslee, widow of Nathan S. Beardslee died at her home at 165 W. Buffalo Street on Tuesday morning, July 20th. She was born in Gainesville on 6/20/1850 and was the daughter of Hon. William and Adelia M. Lockwood Bristol. For 70 years she had lived in Warsaw. Mr. Beardslee passed away 11/1/1915.

Surviving Mrs. Beardslee are 2 sisters, Mrs. Belle B. Kurtz of San Diego, CA; Miss Millie J. Bristol of Rochester and a brother Henry R. Bristol of Warsaw. There are also 3 nieces, Mrs. Laurence B. Graham of E. Aurora, Mrs. R.W. Lindemann of Dansville and Miss Jane Bristol of New York City and a nephew, William Bristol of Rochester.

Funeral services were held at her late home on Thursday July 22 at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Clarence B. Gould of the Congregational church officiating. Burial was in the family plot in Warsaw cemetery under the direction of William O. Meyer.

In this suit James Chatfield petitioned for the dissolution or his marriage with Frances Jane Chatfield (formerly Broadbridge) on the ground of her adultery between January 1, 1928 and February 15 1929 at Alma avenue and Sebastopol street, Marrickville, and at 72 Regent street, Newtown, with one, William Clooney, who was joined as co-respondent. The marriage took place on August 29, 1906 at New Shoreham, Sussex, England according to the rites of the Church of England. His Honor found the issues proved, and granted petitioner a decree nisi, returnable in six months. Mr Taylor (Instructed by Messrs Kershaw, Matthews, Lane and Glasgow) appeared for petitioner: there was no appearance on behalf of respondent or co-respondent.

WIFE LEAVES HUSBAND DIVORCE PETITION GRANTED SYDNEY, Thursday.
In the Divorce Court to-day, James Chatfield petitioned for a divorce from his wife, Prances Jane Chatfield, on the ground of misconduct with William Clooney. The petitioner stated that he was married in 1906 when he was a master mariner. He went to the war in 1914, and afterwards took up farming at Yenda. His wife objected to living in the bush, and only stayed a week. She did not return, and he found her living with Clooney at Marrickville. Mr. Justice Halse Rogers granted the petitioner a decree nisi.

Helen L. Schamp, 79, of Wooster, passed away Monday, May 21, 2007, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
She was born Dec. 5, 1927, in Chatham Township to Jay and Donna (Wright) Broadsword. Mrs. Schamp graduated from Chatham High School. She worked for GTE for 24 years, retiring in 1982. She enjoyed reading, gardening, making baskets, cooking and tole painting.
She will be missed by her husband, Ralph Schamp, whom she married Dec. 5, 1946; daughters, Cathy Hodkinson of New Philadelphia and Claudia (Jim) Love of Medina; grandchildren, Matthew Hodkinson and Lori (Dustin) Correll; great-granddaughter, Taylor Correll; brother, Donald Broadsword of Litchfield Township; and sister, Jean Schworer of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her father, and sister, Betty Browand.
There will be no services.
