R. W. (Bob) Chatfield Dies

Funeral services for Roland W. (Bob) CHATFIELD, 62, former Woodburn resident who died June 9 at Nelscott, were conducted Saturday morning at the Portland Crematorium chapel. Rev. W. S. Van Meter of Woodburn officiated.

Mr. CHATFIELD, a retired auditor for the S.P.& S. railroad, was born in Bay City, Mich., March 21, 1887, and lived in Portland for many years. Winter before last he resided in Woodburn. In March, 1948, the Chatfields purchased a home at Nelscott where they lived until his death. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hazel (Bitney) CHATFIELD, and a sister, Mrs. Ford Converse of Portland. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Henry Miller of Woodburn and Mrs. C. C. McCall of Salem.
