Lawrence was born in a small setlement named Withers Mill, south of Palmyra, MO. He attended grade school there and farmed with his dad. Later, he became a truck driver hauling logs, lumber and farm products. He, and my mother (Lorene Chatfield) were married and moved to Rush Tower, MO. In 1942 he went to San Diego, Calif. to work in the defence plants. When the war was over, he went to work with Arden Farms, a milk producing and retailer. Worked as a pasterizier for many years. In 1952 he moved the family back to Missouri, then to California, then to Ohio and then to Arkansas. There he passed away and is burried in Yellville's Layton Cemetery...
