Dorothy D. Kizzor, 97, of California, former resident of Arvada, passed away September 18, 2003.
Her husband, Andrew, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Alan Kizor, daughter-in-law, Juanita Kizor, and grandsons, Russell and Ted Kizor, all of Orinda, California. Also she is survived by her sister, Mona Beck of Carbondale, CO.
Dorothy taught elementary school in Arvada for four decades, starting in a one-room school house. She retired from Lawrence Elementary School where she had spent more than 30 years as a beloved kindergarten teacher for generations of the community's children.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 4-6 p.m., at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. Graveside service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Arvada Cemetery.
