Mason came to Colorado in search of gold after a failed attempt the first and second times. He operated a grocer store at 760 Larimer St in Denver in 1874. At some point and served as a Corporal in the US Army in Company E, 3rd Colorado Cavalry, (military marker).
There is another Seavey from Maine buried here as well, Charles Seavey, born in 1848, (military marker). Both are in the military section 27. I don't know the relation but they must be brothers perhaps or cousins? I don't know dates of death either. Cemetery must have them.
