TruDee Diane Chatfield Barnett 61 of Kenton

A Celebration of Life for TruDee Diane Chatfield Barnett will be held at 1:00 Tuesday May 15, 2012 with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. At her request she is being cremated.
She passed away at 5:25 pm Friday May 11, 2012 from heart disease at Ross Heart Medical Center in Columbus. TruDee the twelfth child of the late Ezra and Mildred (Tingley) Chatfield was born on November 3, 1950 in Jackson, Michigan.
Richard, her husband of 43 years, survives her. Also surviving are two sons Richard Lee (Amber) Barnett of Kenton and Chad Rick Barnett of Kenton, two grandsons Joey Lee Barnett, Alexander Douglas Barnett, one granddaughter Ceirra Montana Barnett, two step grandchildren Brandon and Elizabeth, three sisters Gerrie (Rich) Miles of Grass Lake, Michigan, Sally Hyden of Munith, Michigan, Kathy Verrier of Pessac Sur Dordogene, France, two brothers Dale Edgar (Kay) Chatfield of Jackson, Michigan, and Danny Chatfield of Jackson, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by four brothers Ralph, Max, Ray, and Jimmie CHATFIELD, three sisters Lila Trine, Ellen Weese and Arlene Morton, a niece Candance Lee CHATFIELD, and a nephew Everett Weese.
She was educated in East Jackson schools. At the age of sixteen she began her career as a nursing assistant at Mercy hospital. In December of 1971, she moved with her husband and sons to Ohio. She was further educated at Lima Technical College. She was a teacher’s assistant for the handicapped and an Activity Director in long term care.
TruDee enjoyed camping, crafts, surfing in Internet and researching Chatfield genealogy. She loved her family and a challenge.
