My father Charles was born in Sussex in 1904 and his Birth Certificate shows registration of his birth at Isfield in the district of Uckfield. He was one of a large family of about 7 brothers and two sisters, but none by the name of Ronald. It is interesting that one of his sisters "Wardie" lived in Catsfield and married a Parks and they were then school caretakers in the village. Other Brothers Horace lived in Hastings, Harold in Battle, Alf lived in East Grinstead, Grace the youngest sister married in Catsfield Church to a Sergeant in the Canadian Army during the War (1939-45). There were others some of whom died in the same War. Will that do for starters?
Incidentally I live at Smallhythe just on the Rye side of Tenterden - not far away!
