Brig.-Gen. Edward Geoffrey St. Aubyn was born on 10 August 1880. He was the son of Colonel Edward St. Aubyn and Eugenia Susannah Chapman. He married Beatrice Rosa Andalucia Harvey, daughter of Captain John Edmund Audley Harvey and Rosa Frances Stewart, on 4 July 1905. He died on 10 December 1960 at age 80.
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England. He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902. He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches. He was decorated with the award of Croix de Guerre. He gained the rank of Brigadier-General between 1918 and 1919. He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919. He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of hampshire. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire. He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the King's Royal Rifle Corps. He was Colonel of the 128th Infantry Brigade between 1928 and 1932.
