The subject I enjoy most of all is arithmetic. I enjoy solving puzzles and problems in arithmetic, and it seems to come naturally to me. There are other subjects I enjoy, but I think arithmetic is most necessary,
There Is not a trade or business of which I know in which a person does not need some knowledge of figuring. A business person, who perhaps does not read or write, must know something of arithmetic to carry on his business successfully.
There are other studies one must know for some lines of business, but I believe arithmetic to be the most necessary. In everyday life a person not in business might possibly need more reading. This is my view, and I hope, Juniors, I am not the only one who thinks this subject the most interesting and necessary.
