As Joram and Chester Chatfield were brothers and Edward J Chatfield was born 14 Feb 1904 and Margaret R Smith \ Young CHATFIELD, wife of Chester P CHATFIELD, died 20 Feb 1904 it is assumed that there is an error on the 1910 census showing Edward J as son of Joram Chatfield and not as nephew. It seems likely that Joram and Sarah Chatfield brought up young Edward J and that is why Joram is listed as father on his marriage record.
