Whitey passed away on Tuesday. A lifelong resident of Syracuse, he retired from Greyhound Bus Lines. He could often be found at his favorite hangout Guilfoils where he also bartended.
He was predeceased by the love of his life, Phyllis (Ogilsbie) Elioff; his son, Richard Ogilsbie; godson, David Ogilsbie; his parents, Helen Ponichtera & Chester Krupa; brothers, Robert & Henry Krupa; sister and brother-in-law, Joanne & Tony Picciotto and his sister, Arlene Hayes.
He is survived by his daughter, Diana Ogilsbie (Kevin Bickom); 4 grandchildren, Marisa (Jason) Teeter, Amber Riehle, Gregory Krupa & Nathaniel Bickom; 3 great-grandchildren, Paige & Wyatt Teeter and Maverick Kazek; 5 sisters, Barbara Borreggine, Karen CHATFIELD, Janet Mulcare, Marianne Ricker, & Kathy Leslie; brother, Joseph Ponichtera, along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
