Maurice E. “Jerry” CHATFIELD, 77, of North Olmsted, passed away August 2, 2018.
He was born in Ironton, Ohio, the son of the late Homer and Wilma Neff Chatfield. He was employed with General Motors for 36 years, retiring in 2008.
Jerry was the beloved husband of Ruth, who predeceased him on February 11, 2009; loving father of Pamela (Jeffrey) Kayden, Kathy (Hank) Kingsbury (deceased), Judy (Bob) Atlee, Dale (Sue) Knapp, Ken (Sheila) Krejci, Patricia (Steve) Johnson, Mike Knapp, Debra (Gene) Keen and Robert Knapp (deceased); dear brother of Darrel F. Chatfield of Ironton; cherished grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather of many.
He was a long-time member of St. Brendan’s Church.
He, his wife Ruth and his family enjoyed many summers at Fort Firelands RV Resort and became a dedicated member of the Moose Lodge #1610 in Port Clinton. Jerry was an avid golfer enjoying many courses in the area and was very charitable to many organizations.
As per his request, all services will be private. He will be laid to rest with his wife Ruth.
