Alice M. Elston, age 87, of Valley City formerly of Sanborn, passed to new life on May 22, 2010 at Sheyenne Care Center with support from Hospice of the Red River Valley. Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Valley City with Rev. Dan Bader officiating. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM Tuesday at the Lerud Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery at Valley City.
Alice is survived by a son, David (Nancy) Elston of Leal, ND; a daughter Darlene (Phillip) Mueller of Valley City, a daughter-in-law, Judy Elston of Eckelson, ND; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son James Elston, daughter Beverly Shirley, and her six siblings.
