Alfreta Louise Markelonis 97 of A Keystone Road Brockport, Pa. Died on October 16, 2012 at Highland View Health Care Center in Brockway. She was born November 26, 1914 in Walburn Run area of Brockway, Pa. Her parents were Sherman and Cora Dunlap Starr. She was married to John Albert Spare, he died on Nov. 20, 1964. She then married Dan Markelonis and he died on Sept. 19, 1978.
After her retirement, Alfreta along with her sister and her nieces did lots of traveling. She also enjoyed playing cards and watching baseball, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates. She had worked at Brockway Glass for 30 years in the Decorating Department.
Survivors: 2 Daughters: Bobbie Lou (Louie) Galluzzi of Brockport. Jean A. Lindemuth of Brockway. 1 Son: Paul Richard (Deanna) Starr also of Brockport. 8 Grandchildren: Louis Paul Galluzzi, Richard A. Starr, Linda Dee McKay, Gregory Paul Starr, Robert Alan Lindemuth, Michael Lee Lindemuth, Brenda Lee Lindemuth and Lisa Kay Patton. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great
grandchildren.
Alfreta was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceded in Death: Parents, Husbands, 2 Brothers: Ivan and Raymond Starr and 6 Sisters: Bessie Himes, Ella CHATFIELD, Twila Proctor, Verna Myers, Alice Himes and Mildred Starr.
