CLINTON O. HUDSON, 73, one of the pioneer residents of Scioto county, died at his home on Scioto Trail near Lucasville Wednesday at 10:30 p.m., following a lingering illness with complications.
Clinton O. Hudson was horn at Powellsville, Ohio, November 6, 1857. He was a son of Charles T. and Amanda Hudson. On Oct. 18, 1881, he was united in marriage to Phoebe Ellen Campbell. To this union nine children were born, two sons, Charles A., of Columbus, O., and Robert C., of Carthage, Ind., And the following daughters: Mrs. John Fontaine of Cliffdell, Washington; Mrs. Pearl Nagel of Wheelersburg; Mrs. Lloyd Mitchell of New Boston; Mrs. Thomas Lambert of Columbus; Mrs. Vance Duduit of Portsmouth; Mrs. Kendall Overturf of Lucasville and Mrs. Walton Jarrell of Nauvoo.
Mr. Hudson spent most of his life on a farm in the Long run vicinity and was a member of the United Brethren church. The last few years no has resided on Scioto trail near Lucasville.
Funeral services will be held at the home Saturday at 2 p.m., with burial following in Lucasville cemetery under the direction of Howard Rockwell.
