The birth dates seem to indicate there are two dau's.
Mary b: Jun 1887
Mamie b: May 1888
Merritt's obit says there were 3 kids with Ella, so maybe there are two daughters.
Unless the 3 kids count Russell Henry Chatfield born to his 1st wife Hannah. (Unlikely)
