I guess we can start here,
"PAUL VERNON CHATFIELD, b: 02 Sep 1927, Springfield, Clark, OH; d: 15 Nov 1998, Springfield, Clark Co., OH VR; m. MARGUERITE LOUISE PIATT, 1949; b: 05 Nov 1931."

Nellie May Johnson was the only child born in the union of James and Rosa Heare Johnson.

CENSUS 1910 Springfield; Nellie is not related to Samuel Parker. Samuel was Mary Heare's second husband. Frank Heare is Mary's son by her first husband. Nellie is Mary's granddaughter.

CENSUS 1920 Springfield; Rosa Heare Johnson is divorced from James Johnson and is married to Simon Bainter. Nellie is listed as a Bainter but is still a Johnson.

My Father, Paul Vernon CHATFIELD, was a half-brother to Rosalie (Aunt Rosie) and Edwin II (Uncle Ed) Chatfield by his father AND half-brother to Benjamin Johnson by his mother. Paul was an only child in the union of Edwin I and Nellie May Johnson Chatfield. Benjamin was born to Nellie before she married Edwin Chatfield. Ben was never a Chatfield so you won't see him listed as related to Rosie or Ed Chatfield. Edwin Chatfield I was not Ben's father.

My Father was put in the Clark Co. Children's Home when he was 2 years old. There are several CENSUS records which have him living in the home. He was a foster child to several families through the years but was kept mostly by Ruth Davis and her husband. He was living with Ruth in North Hampton, OH when his mother passed away. We visited Ruth many times when I was growing up. Her husband passed away and she lived by herself . She gave my father her house in North Hampton and continued to live there for years until she passed away. My parents looked after Ruth in her older years and cared for her in their home when she became sick in her elderly state.

Rosie was divorced from Paul Williams. Paul moved to New York and lived there for many years. Rosie never re-married. She had one daughter living in Columbus, OH and one daughter living in North Carolina.

Cheryl, thank you for the information you sent. I don't have pictures of my father when he was a boy, nor do I have pictures of Nellie May and Edwin. If you have any that could be scanned and emailed I would deeply appreciate it.
