Betsey Chatfield and Phineas E. Peck, two persons named in a certain instrument perparting? .. the last will and testament of Reuben Chatfield, late of Colebrook in said District deceased, and executed the same to the court, and moved to have the same proved, and approved as the last Will & testament of the said Reuben.
The said Will and Testament having been proved as such of the said Reuben, is hereby approved, and or cleared to be recorded, and is as follows to wit
In the name of God, amen, I Reuben Chatfield of Colebrook, in the County of Litchfield and State of Connecticut, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following, that is today, , ...
I will that all my debts and personal charges be paid and discharged by my executors, herein after named. Then I give unto my son Bennet Chatfield the sum of fifty dollars, & the remainder of all my real and personal estate to my loving wife Betsey Chatfield. Lastly I do make and constitute my wife Betsey Chatfield and Phineas E. Peck executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereinto set my hand and seal this 11th day of Sept. in the year of our Lord 1839.
