For the past 36 years he had operated the Buick and Pontiac automobile agency in Elbridge. His son joined the business in 1947. He was a graduate of Elbridge High School and attended Syracuse University. He was a member of Elbridge Community Church and Jordan Lodge, 386, F. & A. M. He was also a member of David Chapter, R. A. M.; Scottish Rite bodies and Tigris Temple; Jordan Masonic Club; past president and member of Elbridge Chamber of Commerce. He was a former member of the Elbridge School Board; a former Republican committeeman and a former director of the Jordan National Bank, and treasurer of Elbridge Rural Cemetery Association, and a member of Elbridge Rod and Gun Club and the National and New York State Automobile Dealers Association, and a former director and member of the Syracuse Automobile Dealers Association.
