OBITUARY
Doris E. Tyre, 76, Miller's Merry Manor, Peru, died at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday in Miller's Merry Manor. She was born July 2, 1910, in Cass county to Delbert and Alice Eckley Shope. She was married July 6, 1929, to Ray Tyre, who died Dec. 18, 1967. She was a member of the Grace Brethren Church, Peru. Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Wright, Peru; a son Robert Dale, Peru; two sisters, Beulah Allen, Walton, and Dorothy Rush, Lake Bruce; five grandchildre, and seven great grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Grace Brethren Church with the Rev. Ron Bowland officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru.

OBITUARY
Raymond A. Tyre, 58, was dead on arrival at 5 p.m. Monday at Dukes Hospital. He had been ill for four years. He was a shipping clerk for the Bailey Manufacturing Co. in Peru and a member of the Peru Brethren Church. He spent his life in Cass and Miami counties. Born in Cass County on Sept. 27,1909, he was the son of Chris and Ottie Studebaker Tyre. His marriage in 1929 was to Doris Shope who survives. Other survivors include a son, Robert Tyre, and a daughter, Mrs. Wayne Wright, both of Peru; a brother, Robert, and a sister, Mrs. H.S. Pullen, both of Walton, and another sister, Mrs. Owen Gish of Logansport; five grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Drake-Flowers Funeral Home. The Rev. W.C. Stinebaugh will officiate and burial will be in Mr. Hope Cemetery.
