Mrs. Nellie B. Hawks, 97, of St. Albans died Dec. 2, 1994 at Thomas Memorial Hospital South Charleston after a long illness.
She was an 11 year resident of St. Albans, formerly of Charleston. She was of the Apostolic faith.
Surviving: daughters, Garnet Field, Grace Utsinger and Sadie Burks, all of St. Albans, Etta Merrill of Belle, four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston, with Rev. Jack H. Albert officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Casdorph-Curry Funeral Home, St. Albans. The funeral procession will leave at 10:20 a.m. Monday from the funeral home.

Retired Glass Worker Shoots Self In Hotel
Harry Bunion Hawks, 63, 1624 McClung St., committed suicide by shooting himself Saturday morning in a Summers Street hotel, Dr. Goff P. Lilly, Kanawha County coroner said.
Surviving are his wife, Nellie; four daughters, Mrs. Burres Fields and Mrs. George Utsinger, both of Charleston; Mrs. Jack Boyles of Belle and Mrs. Frances E. Burkes of Germany; two brothers, Charles A. of Big Chimney and Richard of Cheylan, and four grandchildren.
The body is at the Cunningham Funeral Home.
