4866. John Chatfield Tyler was born on 21 September 1862 in Victoria, Australia. He died in June 1939 at the age of 76 in Rockhampton, QLD, Australia. TYLER.-On the 21st inst., at Perthshire terrace, South Yarra, the wife of J. Chatfield Tyler, Esq., of a daughter. Solicitor, Rockhampton, Queensland. The Courier-Mail (Brisbane, Qld. : Thursday 15 June 1939 OBITUARY Mr. John Chatfield Tyler; whose death has occurred at Rockhampton, had practised as a solicitor in Central Queensland for 45 years. He: came to Brisbane from Melbourne as a young man and served his articles with Messrs. Hart and Flower, being admitted In 1893. In Rockhampton he was for some years Chancellor of the Anglican Diocese and held other offices. Mrs Tyler who predeceased him was, before her marriage, Miss Grace Pattison, daughter of Mr. William Pattison, one time Treasurer of Queensland and one of the owners of the Mount Morgan mine. The Queenslander (Brisbane, Qld. : Saturday 22 April 1893) Best man at wedding on 18th April 1893 of Mr. George Charles Fair, of Ontario, Canada, well-boring engineer, and Miss Mary Henchman, eldest daughter of Mr. W. Henchman, of Toowoomba.
