=====
Ann Chatfield (nee Pocock). On April 17, 1877, she married Charles Phillip Earle in Fitzroy, Melbourne (Rego. No.2473). Charles, a wood merchant, was born in England and a widower, aged 57. Ann is listed as a shopkeeper, living in Carlton, Melbourne, with 7 of her 10 children still living and aged 45. I still do not know when Ann died.

-----
A Miss POCOCK left England about 23rd December 1850 and arrived Australia, New South Wales on 25-04-1851 on the 'Mary Bannatyne' Status P. From Portsmouth.
Unassisted passage. According to members of the Family History single women were often snapped up quickly and married soon after arriving. Ann & Henry married in 1852, maybe they knew each other in Brighton. The Birth of Harry said that Ann & Henry were both born Brighton, England so I agree that the Brighton Pocock looks promising.

Henry Pocock married 1831 as a widower, therefore Ann was the first daughter of his second marriage but probablky he already had three daughters. So we can probably eliminate the Catsfield family and stick to the Brighton family.
