Richard D. Rhine, 82, of Bunker Hill, Indiana passed away at 7:10 AM, Monday, March 25, 2013, at Caring Hands Health and Rehab of Peru. He was born in Cass County on March 17, 1931, the son of Harry and Cressa House Rhine. Richard married Faye Savage on May 27, 1950, and she preceded him in death on July 13, 1978.
He married Pauline Miller Myers on March 17, 1979, and she survives.
Richard was a graduate of Galveston High School, and a member of the Howard-Miami Mennonite Church. He was a retired Chrysler employee.
Richard enjoyed wood working, and was an avid fisherman. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and a staunch supporter of his grandchildren and great-grand children evidenced by his frequent presence at school and sport functions.
Surviving in addition to his wife Pauline, are sons: Ricky Rhine and his wife Deb of Mexico, IN, Rodney Rhine and his wife Brenda of Louisville, KY, step-children: Cheryl Steinborn and her husband Ken of Clayton, IN, Teresa Miller and her husband Carey of Kokomo, IN , Ann Graber of Bunker Hill, IN, Thomas Myers and his wife Marjorie of Marseilles, IL, Brent Myers and his wife Kimberly of Bunker Hill, IN, Alan Myers and his wife Sharon of Kokomo, IN, and Krista Bradley and her husband Wayne of Kokomo, IN. 26 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Faye, a granddaughter, Christy Graber and 3 sisters, Mary Snider, Joan McKnight and Frances Scott.
