From son of Carol Burton.
Mother was adopted by a William and Celia Burton.
The Illinois adoption records were sealed until about a year ago (2014). No birth father is listed on my recently released original birth certificate.
Carol Burton, the birth mother, was also adopted. I recently petitioned (asked) the juvenile Court in Hennepin County, Minnesota and found out about Stella and Carol Chatfield (adopted name Burton). I found Stella's mother and father's names on Ancestry.com.
Carol also had two female children before me; both also given up for adoption. One died in Arkansas about 2 years ago. I have not been able to identify the other half (?)- sister.
I know that William Burton was a book binder, born in London and that his wife Celia Mauer was born in Detroit. I have pictures of Carol sent to me from some friends of hers that I tracked down in Silver Lake, Minnesota.
