Mrs. John F. Dee Dies

Mrs. John F. Dee, died at her home in Rochelle, Wednesday, March 1, at 4:30 p.m. after a long illness. She leaves six children. Mr. Dee preceded her in death 42 years ago. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's church at 9:30 Saturday morning and burial in the Catholic Cemetery.

KIN OF SYCAMORE FOLK IS SUMMONED

Mrs. Bridget Sammon Dee, Sister of Mrs. Mary Minnehan, Dies In Her Home at Rochelle After Lingering Illness.

Mrs. Bridget Sammon Dee, a sister of Mrs. Mary Minnehan of Sycamore, mother of Mrs. C.A. Lindsey, formerly of Sycamore, died in her home at Rochelle at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, following a lingering illness. She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be held this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic church of which she was a member. The Rev. Father Thomas O'Brien will officiate, and burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Dee was born Oc. 6, 1953, in Wilmington, O., the daughter of Austin and Bridget Kirby Sammon. She moved to Lee county with her parents when a child, and had lived in Rochelle for more than 70 years. Her husband, John F. Dee, died 42 years ago.

Surviving are six children, Harry of Freemont, O., Mrs. E.A. Lindsey of Chicago, Mrs. Bernard Kuelgen of Rochelle, Joh of Chicago, Paul of South Bend, and S.W. Dee of Rochelle, 12 grandchildren, one brother, Mattew Sammon of Detroit, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Minnehan of Sycamore, Mrs. Kate Wood of Detroit, and Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Thomas Daum, both of Steward. Four brothers proceeded her in death.
