1e Charles Hilbert Strange, b Tunbridge Wells, 1867; m 1890 Emilie Elizabeth Jones, d Tunbridge Wells, 16 Nov 1936; resided 20 Dudley Rd, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. He was an architect who started a private practice in Tunbridge Wells in 1898 and was elected a Fellow A.R.I.B.A., in 1920. He was the family genealogist who compiled The Stranges of Tunbridge Wells [ca 1948].
