[Baptised at Melcombe Horsey 27 Apr 1828 Catherine daughter of Robert & Elizabeth FRIPP-PITMAN of Hilton."I worked at Gordleton farm for 6 years. It is currently owned by a family called KNOWLSON. Gordleton Farm was a pig farm until the late 60's but was closed down due to swine fever orfoot n mouth but it still survives today by renting out thebuildings for local businesses. A large area was sold off for gravel extraction and then built on to create Gordleton Industrial Estate.

Isaac SPRACKLING (1819-1893) came from Wynford Eagle,
Dorset to the New Forest c. 1860 and he was from a long-established Dorset
family. He spent his last 25 to 30 years at Battramsley Farm, Boldre,
initially as Farm Bailiff and latterly taking over the farm tenancy. Some
of his children married into New Forest families - BUNDEY, EVEMY and SHELLEY
and I have researched their ancestries to varying degrees.
