H. Norton Sudduth, 60, of 316 Paddock street, director of engineering at the New York Air Brake company, died at 10:20 p.m. Friday in the House of the Good Samaritan.
Ill since October with a chronic lung condition, Mr. Sudduth became seriously ill while in Kansas City, Mo., and was hospitalized there from Nov. 3 until he entered the House of the Good Samaritan Jan 6.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian church with Rev. John B. Smiley, pastor, and Rev. William H. Stryker, associate minister, officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Mr. Sudduth is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lyda L. Chatfield Sudduth; three sons; ... and a daughter, ...; his mother Mrs. William H. Sudduth, Santa Barbara; a sister, Mrs. Barkley Wyckoff, Santa Barbara; a brother, William W. Sudduth, Kansas City, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
Henry Norton Sudduth was born April 10, 1905, in Minneapolis, Minn., a son of Mrs. Mary Louise Norton Sudduth, and the late William H. Sudduth. He attended Blake school in Minneapolis and in 1927 received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Sheffield Scientific school of Yale university.
