Obituary
Grace C. Dennis, 84, passed away Wednesday evening, Dec. 22, 1965 at the Sycamore Municipal Hospital.
She was born Jan. 13, 1881 in Sycamore, the daughter of Gurdon H. and Edith Chatfield Dennis. She attended the local schools and despite a hearing handicap she endeared herself to her many friends nieces and nephews. Her whole purpose in life was doing for others.
Miss Dennis resided with her mother in DeKalb until her death when she moved to her sister's home at Electric Park Corners. She was a member of the DeKalb Methodist Church and the Home Bureau for many years.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle T. Lundberg of DeKalb and Mrs. John (Gertrude) Groves Lowe of Electric Park Corners.
Also surviving are eight nieces and nephews, Mrs. Margaret Tomlinson, Robert Dennis, Mrs. Audrey Soli, Mrs. Marjorie Mohrman and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Coultrip Funeral Home with Rev. Asbjorn Smedstad of the Methodist Church of DeKalb officiating.
