MANTON, George Hazen, a pioneer of Tehama County, passed away at the old home of his deceased brother, Wheeler Hazen, near Manton Monday, at the advanced age of 81 and he would have been 82 next month. He had been quite feeble and childish for the past 15 years. On Sunday he was all right but about 9 o'clock Monday morning he was found dead and Justice Wilcox held an inquest.
He is survived by his deceased brothers family, Mrs. Mary I. Hazen and her two sons, W.E. and Jesse Hazen and three daughters. He also has brothers and sisters in New York State. The funeral took place at 3 oclock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. James Wells conducting the services. The pall bearers were V.V. Wilcox, W.H. Hart, J.C. Childs, Frank Paselk, Edward Wilcox and Walter Paskelk.
