SUDBURY - MaryLou CHATFIELD, age 74, died Sunday, August 29, 2010, with her family by her side, at her home in Sudbury.
Mrs. Chatfield was born in Cornwall, N.Y., on September 9, 1935. She was the daughter of Morton and Mary (O'Dell) Henderson. She was a graduate of Cornwall (N.Y.) High School, class of 1953. She had been a summer resident of Sudbury since 1989 and spent winters in Bradenton, Fla. She had worked as a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker in Cornwall on the Hudson, N.Y., for several years before retiring. She enjoyed shuffleboard and was an avid golfer and belonged to Proctor-Pittsford Country Club. She belonged to Marble Valley Lions Club in Rutland Town.
Surviving is her husband, Charles "Chuck" Chatfield of Sudbury, whom she married on May 11, 1958, in St. John's Episcopal Church in Cornwall, N.Y.; one daughter, Claudia Jean Matthews of Central Bridge, N.Y., and a son, Jeffrey C. Chatfield of Raleigh, N.C.; one brother, Morton Henderson of Florida; two grandsons, Nolan and Devlan Matthews. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at 2 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Brandon. The Rev. Margaret Fletcher, rector, will officiate. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
Following the ceremony, the family will receive friends in the church "Undercroft" for a time of fellowship and remembrance.
