Mrs. Maude Finch Barnes,widow of Bertram Barnes, and a former residentof Clyde for many years,died at Midtown Hospital in Syracuse,early Thursday morning December 17 following a long illness.
She had resided in Syracuse for the past 29 years, moving there from Clyde.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Wolcott april 23, 1879 daughter of Charles and Frances Dratt Finch. She was a member of the 1st Methodist Church in Syracuse at the time of her death and a former member of Clyde Methodist Church. For several years, she was Hostess at the Y. W. C. A. in Syracuse. She is survived by one daughter Mrs. John (Edra B) Hassenplug of Syracuse and a cousin in Plamyra.
Funeral services were held at the Harold S. Mann Funeral Home in Clyde, Sunday Dec. 20 at 3 o'clock.
