Elizabeth Bathgate Forbes Verdini, 87, of Wallingford, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Masonicare of Wallingford with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Leslie Forbes and the late Joseph I. Verdini.
Born in New Haven, April 12, 1926, a daughter of the late Jack Bathgate and Helen May Beecher. She was a graduate of the Collegiate School in New Haven and had been employed by Yale-New Haven Hospital and Entoletter, in New Haven. She was an avid reader and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also was a member of the Yalesville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Leslie Forbes; her daughter, Wendy Forbes; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Driscoll; and brother, George Bathgate. Besides her husbands, she was predeceased by her sisters, Olive Dawson and Helen Provost, and brother George, who died in infancy.
