Mr. F. Cresswell CHATFIELD, of Wainate, New Zealand, eldest son of Mr. F. CHATFIELD, D.L., of "Bangate," Appleby, Westmoreland, England, to Miss Gladys Ross, elder daughter of Mrs. Margaret Ross, Swanbourne.

Sunday Times (Perth, WA : Sunday 28 January 1923)
A large number of friends were present last evening at the Perth railway station to bid farewell to Miss Gladys Ross, who left by the express for the Eastern States, en route to Christchurch, New Zealand, where her marriage with Mr. Creswell CHATFIELD, formerly of Westmoreland, England, will take place. Miss Ross will be the guest of her uncle (Mr. James Fitzmaurice), formerly of Perth, for several days in Adelaide, and upon her arrival in Christchurch will be the guest of her aunt. Miss Ross is one of Perth's pretty and popular girls, and she takes with her the sincerest wishes for every happiness from a very large circle of friends in this State.

CH ATFIELD-ROSS.
A wedding of interest to a large circle of friends in this State was solemnised in Wellington, New Zealand, on February 7 last, when Gladys Ross, elder daughter of Mrs. Margaret Ross (late of the Éducation Department, now of Bruce Rock) was married, to Mr. F. C. CHATFIELD, eldest son of Mr. F. C. CHATFIELD, of "Bangate House," and Deputy-Lieut. for Westmoreland, England. The bride made a charming picture in her rich bridal gown of ivory charmante, gracefully draped in the becoming Grecian lines, the long loose Doloman sleeves being delicately finished with linings of French pink "silk georgette." A posy of white flowerettes was carried. At the conclusion of the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Chatfield left for Rotorua, the bride travelling in a handsome costume of mastic gaberdine, with which was worn a rich henna silk vest. Her hat was smart in nigger horsehair, encircled with georgette to tone and French velvet flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Chatfield will make their home in Junctiön-road, Warmate, Christchurch, where their pretty home has just been completed.
